Would you like to speak to someone who has lived experience as an adult survivor of childhood sexual abuse? Someone who has learned to recognize and identify the difficult feelings and emotions that you may be struggling with?
If so, you can meet with a Peer Support Practitioner. They work flexibly to provide the emotional support and assistance you need. Individuals who have engaged in peer support have found it effective because:
- You learn to look at things from a different perspective.
- You develop a genuine relationship with someone who understands your experiences.
- You are in a judgment-free environment, which is incredibly helpful.
- You receive emotional support and resources to help you understand and manage the daily impacts of trauma caused by childhood sexual abuse.
If you are interested in Peer Support, please reach out to one of our team members who can discuss the support you feel you need and help you determine if Peer Support is the best option for you at this time.
